William Owensby

William Owensby, of Spindale, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton, NC.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Roy Owensby and Mary Lou Dobbins Owensby.  Also was preceded in death by a sister Ann Owensby in 2014.

He was a graduate of Chase High School and worked in maintenance for Rutherford Regional Medical Center and later for Isothermal Community College.

He is survived by his twin brother, Wayne Owensby and brothers, Thurman Owensby (Sheila), and Robert Owensby (Ginny); sisters, Mary Elliott and Betty Byers (Donnie) all of Rutherford County.  He is also survived by a niece, Beth Walker and nephews, Bucky Owensby, Bryan Elliott, Jonathan & Justin Owensby and Chris Byers.

At his request no formal services will be conducted.  His sister Betty would like to thank the staff of Hospice and White Oak Manor for faithfully taking care of William and being such a great blessing.
