Warren Shults, Jr.

Warren Shults, Jr., age 75, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at his home.

Warren was born Saturday, May 7, 1949 in Polk County to the late Warren Shults, Sr. and Mary Louise Melton Shults. He worked for Spartanburg Steel for twenty-seven years before retirement. Warren enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and woodworking. He was also an avid fisherman and attended Morningstar Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Wilda Jo Harris Shults; sister, Mary Louise Shults; brothers, Bobby Jones, John Melton Jones and Wayne Yount.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Teresa Ann Lewis of Rutherfordton; son, David Dewayne Shults of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Kevin Kuo-Choi Liang (Monica), Anthony James Liang-Drost, Autumn Drost, Amberly Rose Irene Drost and three great-grandchildren, Samantha Jade Liang, Kai Liang and Freya Keeter; brothers, William Shults and Judd Jones; sisters, Christene Yount, Helen Ellenburg, Ellen Hoyle, Joann Hendrix and Barbara Jean Greene.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Morningstar Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Street officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
