Wade Davis

Wade Davis, age 75, of 262 Low Bridge Road, Forest City, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at his residence. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late O.P. Davis and Hattie Dyer Davis. He worked for PPG Industries for seventeen years before his retirement and was a long time member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era and was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Geretha Hoyle Davis; one daughter, Lynn Hill and her husband, Danny, of Forest City; one son, Myron Davis and his wife, Anna, of Lenoir, NC; two sisters, Ann Biggerstaff of Swansboro, NC and Carolyn Craft of Forest City; four grandchildren, Chasity Mode, Shauna Crater, Terri Hill and Elijah Davis; five great-grandchildren, Trent Mode, Lauren Mode, Trevor Mode, Derek Crater and Kailyn Skinner.
