Virginia Campfield

Virginia Branch Campfield, age 78, of Henrietta, NC, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Rutherford Hospital.
Virginia was born July 17, 1932 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Howard Piercy and Sue Tipton Piercy. She worked for Burlington Mills as a weaver for over 26 years and was a dedicated member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She served as a church secretary for her church for several years. Her life's love and enjoyment was taking care of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Piercy.
Survivors include her husband of 21 years, J.W. 'Jake' Campfield; two sons, Junior Branch and wife, Peggy of Mooresboro and Chris Branch and wife, Myra of Harris; two step-sons, Jimmy Campfield and wife, Cindy of Ellenboro and Dennis Campfield and wife, Kathy of Shelby; one sister, Annette Morgan of Shelby. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
