Vida Koone

Vida Inez Koone, age 80, of Cliffside passed away on Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Wendover Kathleen Dover Hamrick Hospice House following an extended illness.
Mrs. Koone was born on July 16, 1927 in Cliffside to the late Jasper Alton "J.A." McDaniel and Cleo Greene McDaniel. She was a life-long resident of Cliffside. She was a long-time member of Cliffside Baptist Church. She had worked most of her career as a Nursing Assistant for Rutherford Hospital. Including her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Freda Dial.

Survivors include her daughter Grace Clark of Lincolnton, NC; five grandchildren Heather Upton, Ashley Horton, Joshua Houser, Nathan Bumgarner, and Carmen Clark; she is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
