Tom Horwood

Tom Horwood, age 74, of Spindale, passed away Friday, March 5, 2020 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Tom was born January 10, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Norman Horwood and Laura Newman Horwood. He worked as a supervisor in plastic manufacturing for over forty years. He spent most this time with Rubbermaid Industries. Tom was an avid deep-sea fisherman and loved his cats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Horwood, Jr. and his lifetime best friend, Jim O’Brien.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Donna Horwood; two daughters, Stephanie Horwood of Anaheim, CA and Sarah Klassen (Zack) of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Leslie Cunningham (Ron) of Idaho, Darcy Trumbull (Michael)  and Norma Horwood all of Arizona; two step-sons, Craig Acton (Jean0 of Vermont and Jason Acton (Lisa) of New Jersey. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Raven, Lillian and Levi.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Victory Baptist Church in Spindale with Reverend John Greene officiating.
