Thelma Martin

Thelma Mode Martin, age 91, of Forest City, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her residence.
Born June 11, 1927 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Mode and Alice Hollifield Mode.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Martin; three brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Connie Wooten and husband Edward of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Ronnie Martin of Forest City; three grandchildren, David Martin, Colin Martin, Lara Oldenburg and husband John. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Ava Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow the service at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
