Talmadge Morrow

Talmadge Morrow, age 70, of Mooresboro, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Talmadge was born Tuesday, May 10, 1955 in Rutherford County to the late James Monroe Morrow, Sr. and Anne Melton Morrow. He worked in textiles for many years and for Watts Regulator Company for several years. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Cliffside Masonic Lodge #460. Talmadge was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was known as a goodhearted person with a desire to help others. His sense of humor could lighten up any room.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Morrow and siblings, Beverly Gordon, Jimmy Morrow, Ronnie Morrow, Debbie Kimbrell, Ray Morrow and Lillian Coffey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Lisa Brooks (Gary) of Ellenboro, Teresa Panther of Forest City, Joy Brooks (Dan) of Ellenboro, Bobby Morrow of Ellenboro and John Morrow of Bostic; a special friends, Doris Baker of Morganton, Roger and Donna Walker of Caroleen; grandchildren, Marah Swink (Josh), Jeremiah Morrow, Noah Cudd; great grandchildren, Archer Swink, Fisher Swink and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, June 20th at 3:30 pm at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Chad Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Morrow Curve Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
