Steven Stacy

     Steven (Steve) Sherwood Stacy, Sr, 84, of Leesburg, GA passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.The family will receive friends Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 5:00pm until 6:30pm at Mathews Funeral Home, Albany, GA. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 11:00am at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, Forest City, NC. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother.

     Steve was born in Henrietta, NC and worked as a truck driver for Carolina Freight and ABF for 36 years. He loved his job and providing for his family. He was a disciplined man, gentle and kind, full of compassion and love for others. He was passionate about sharing the gospel and continuing to learn about his Lord and Savior. He made those around him feel special, wanted and comfortable. His small group, Fishers for Men, along with his children and grandchildren was one of the greatest gifts he received on this earth. He will be missed and cherished by all those he left behind.

     Survivors include his children, Steven S. Stacy, Jr (Hope), Jacksonville FL, Dacia Stacey Harris (Brad), Oakfield GA, sisters, Cynthia Heffner (Mike), Winston-Salem NC, Julia Lovelace, Woodruff SC, grandchildren, Chad Stacy, Jacksonville FL, Jordan Stacy, Jacksonville FL, Jackson Harris, Gabrielle Harris, Connor Harris, Brady Harris, and Cooper Harris all of Oakfield GA.
