Sonny Bailey

Sonny 'Bill' Bailey, age 71, of 234 Sunset Drive, Shiloh, died Friday, July 03, 2009 at his residence.
He was born February 5, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Hollis Lee Bailey and Lillie Tessineer Bailey. He had worked for Stonecutter Mills for 30 years before his retirement and owned Bailey Enterprises for 15 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Forest City Foursquare Church.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Vonnie Carter Bailey; two daughters, Susan Webb and her husband Randy of Ellenboro and Sherry Gowan and her husband Carlton of Boiling Springs, NC; one son, Todd Bailey and his wife Shirley of Shiloh; two sisters, Ruby Goode and Dorothy Loftis both of Forest City; six grandchildren, Jason Gowan, Jonathan Gowan, Brandon Webb, Christopher Webb, Melissa Lawson and Courtney Bailey; six great grandchildren, Stephen, William, Ben, Hayden, Luke and Jacob.
