Sherry Adeline Funderburk Pruett

Sherry Adeline Funderburk Pruett, age 63, of Forest City, died on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Sherry was born on Thursday, August 24, 1961, in Monroe, NC, to the late Daniel Lee Funderburk, and the late Mary Maude Hall Funderburk. She was a faithful member of Forest City Church of God and loved singing, playing bingo, and having her nails done. Sherry was a childcare worker for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel “Bubba” Funderburk Jr.; and brother-in-law, Buster Haywood.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Pruett, of the home; son and caregiver, Steven Pruett, of Forest City; son, Matthew Pruett, of Forest City; stepson, Wayne Pruett (Crystal), of Forest City; sister, Carole Elaine Haywood, of Monroe; brother, Terry Funderburk (Reyna), of Irmo, SC; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dylan Lewis and Reverend Randy Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
