Shelby Lowery

Shelby J. Lowery, age 65, of Henrietta, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born on Thursday, October 26, 1950 in Luray, Virginia, she was a daughter to the late Julius Rosser and Iva Bradley Rosser. She worked as a substitute teacher the public schools and as an inspector for the Craddock & Terry Shoe Company for several years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting dolls and ceramics and a member of the St. Peters United Methodist Church of Shenandoah, Virginia.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-one years, Roger "Charlie" Lowery; two sons, Bobby Hudgins of Arvonia, Virginia and Kenneth Hudgins of Henrietta; two brothers, Doug Rosser and wife, Midge of Shenandoah and Tim Rosser of Luray. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jacob Hudgins, Kenny Hudgins and Sarah Hudgins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Johnny McCarty officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
