Shawn Lee

Shawn Lee, age 46, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his residence.
Born on Wednesday, April 8, 1970 in Rutherford County. He is the son of Butch Bawden of Ellenboro and Jackie Lee of Forest City. He worked many years as a boilermaker and was of the Baptist Faith. Shawn was an avid golfer, surfer and enjoyed the beach. He was known for his sense of humor and caring spirit. He was also an animal lover. Shawn's life was invested in his only daughter, Brooklin.
He was preceded in death by his adopted father, Larry Lee.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Brooklin Lee of Easley, SC; companion, Christine Weber of Rutherfordton and one aunt, Grace Purdy and husband, Pat of Ellenboro.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Harrelson Funeral Parlor.
