Sharon Cordell

Sharon Cordell, age 53, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Sharon was born Sunday, June 6, 1971 in Rutherford County to the late Wayne Cordell and Brenda Hood Cordell. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1989. She was a manager for Drop In Convenience Store at the Shiloh location for eighteen years and also worked for Timken Steel for several years. Sharon was known for her great sense of humor and will forever be remembered for her dedication to her loved ones. She was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Edith Cordell and Carrel Hood and her pet cat, Fred.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Lisa Parker (Joe) of Rutherfordton and Laura Hillman (Richard) of Ellenboro; nieces, Ashley Parker (Ed) and Deanna Parker (Kurt); nephews, Phillip, Austin and Jacob Cordell and her beloved pet yorkie, Gizmo.

A gathering of family and friends to honor Sharon’s life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 13th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
