Sharon Campos

Sharon Campos, age 43, of Spindale, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Sharon was born Saturday, July 10, 1982 in Rutherford County to Myra Sims Irvin who resides in Spindale and to the late Sherrill Irvin. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 2000, and a graduate of Isothermal Community College. Sharon worked as an LPN at Blue Ridge Health in Hendersonville and for Urgent Care in Shelby. She was presently employed at Fair Haven Forest City. As a nurse, Sharon displayed heartfelt compassion and was passionate about taking care of each patient. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed taking care of her many cats and dogs. Sharon was connected to her family church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Kingstown, NC. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Besides her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her beloved daughter, Haley Powell of Rutherfordton and those who she considered as her own children, Luther Herrera of Forest City, Diego Herrera, Reyna Herrera of Spindale, Adriana Herrera Hipp (Noah) of Spindale, Jose Herrera (Jason Sprouse) of Spindale; brother, Chad Nazelrod (Adena) of Rutherfordton; sister, Lora Shires (Michael Hendrix) of Spindale; a special friend, Jerry Frizzell of Spindale; niece, Megan Shires; nephews, Dustin Nazelrod, Bryson Shires, Waylin Shires and grandchildren, Angel and Sofia Herrera.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 24th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
