Rosie Seay

Rosie Seay, age 81, of Whelchel Road, Mooresboro, NC passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Crawley Memorial Hospital in Boiling Springs, NC. She was born April 21, 1926 to the late Thomas Matthews and Mandy Rolen Matthews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Sparks, an infant daughter, Shirley Marie Sparks, her husband, George J. C. Sparks, three brothers, Robert Matthews, Johnny Matthews, and Rufus Matthews, and two sisters, Josephine Matthews and Betty Jean Matthews. She was a homemaker. Her favorite pastime was watching "Little House on The Prairie" and "Gunsmoke." She also loved her pet, Toby.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Hart of Mooresboro, NC and Lourene Hicks of Tryon, NC; one brother, Ed Matthews of Augusta, GA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and a close friend, Kenneth Green.
