Ronnie Lee Evans

Ronnie Lee Evans, age 50, of Cliffside, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Sapphire Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Brevard, NC.

Ronnie was born Thursday, June 3, 1976 in Rutherford County. He worked as a volunteer fireman and an EMS Technician for many years. Ronnie also repaired small engines and did auto body repair work. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Micheal Yates Evans; brother, Richard Evans; paternal grandparents, J.Y. and Shirley Evans and maternal grandmother, Frances Sears.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Betty Brown (Rick) of Chattahoochee, Florida; sons, Josh O’Dell of Spindale and Barrett Evans of Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Patricia Evans of Cliffside; brother, Terry Evans (Akeely) of Rutherfordton; aunt, Jean Hill (Jimmy) and uncle, Terry J. Evans (Debbie) of Cliffside; four nieces and two nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 29th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ricky Poteat officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
