Robert Barnes, age 81, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.
Robert was born Saturday, January8, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late John Adams Barnes and Nola Dobbins Barnes. He worked many years at Spindale Mill. Robert was an avid fisherman and loved animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Bud Barnes, Lois Barnes Smith and Archie Barnes.
He is survived by his daughter, Della Barnes of Forest City and his beloved parrot, Falco.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal services.
