Ricky Wayne Morrow

Ricky Morrow, age 69, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Ricky was born Thursday, March 17, 1955 in Rutherford County to the late Bo Morrow and Elizabeth Atkins Morrow. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1973. Ricky worked for Stonecutter Mill for many years and was a truck driver for All Bright Sanitation. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ricky was a firearm enthusiast and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Morrow.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Sherry Morrow; son, David Morrow of Forest City; daughter, Brandi Morrow Boone (Brian) of Cliffside; sister, Linda Johnson (Allan) of Forest City; brother, Ronnie Morrow (Kim) of Bostic; grandchildren, Cecilia and Castle Boone and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 1st at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Stephen Matheny officiating. The family will receive friends in the church foyer immediately following the service.
