Richard Ransom, Jr.

Richard "Dick" Ransom, Jr., age 86, of Lake Lure, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 9, 1929 in San Francisco, California, he was a son of the Richard N. Ransom, Sr. and Margaret Versteeg Ransom.
Dick loved his God, his country, his church and his family. He was a humble man who enjoyed helping others: a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His life's motto was "Keep the Faith."
He is survived by all who knew him and loved him. He will be dearly missed.
A time of remembrance for friends and family will be conducted at the Church of Transfiguration of Bat Cave at a later date.
