Ray Inman, age 65, of Caroleen, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his residence.
Born February 14, 1952 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son to the late John Inman and Dorothy Turner Inman. He worked for Appling Boring Company as a mechanic for twenty-years and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed dirt track car racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Ray Inman; brother, Harley Inman and two sisters, Sheila Bruce and Darlene Oxindene.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kathy Inman, four sons, Scott Inman of Spartanburg, Jimmy Rogers Coffey, Jr. of Caroleen, Billy Ray Coffey of Shelby and Timothy Scott Coffey of Lake Bowen, SC; one daughter, Fonda Wilhere and husband, Mike also of Lake Bowen; one sister, Dianne Rhodes and husband, Jesse of Inman, SC. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
