Ray Fisher

Ray Fisher, age 87, of Forest City, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at his home.

Ray was born December 2, 1937 in Rutherford County to the late Estelle Fisher. He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, class of 1956. Ray served honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked for PPG for several years and for Mastercraft for twenty years before retirement. Ray enjoyed yardwork, gardening and woodworking. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Fisher Beaver Hodge and a sister, Ruth Fisher Reynolds.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty-five years, Jackie Bright Fisher; son, Chris A. Fisher (Cathy) of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Fonda Beaver, Shannon Beave, Amber Beaver Lallement, Mason Fisher and Logan Fisher; a great grandson, Justice Friday and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 26th at Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
