Phyllis Diane Burnette

Phyllis Diane Burnette, age 53, of Forest City, passed away, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Phyllis was born Tuesday, August 8, 1967 in Rutherford County to the late Cleatus Moore and Mary Searcy Moore. She worked as a cook at Quincy’s Restaurant in Asheville for many years. Phyllis enjoyed crafts, coloring, painting and taking care of her pet dog, Papi. She especially loved cooking for others. Phyllis had a giving heart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving sister, Cylda Christian and four brothers, Alvin Lee Vickers, Dee Searcy, Buddy Vickers and George Vickers all of Forest City.

A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be conducted on a later date.
