Phillip Godfrey

Phillip W. Godfrey, age 65, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Oak Grove Health Care Center.

Phillip was born November 27, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late Charles Ray Godfrey and Barbara Jean Godfrey Watts. He was a longtime resident of Colonial Manor and an avid sports fan. Phillip was known for his keen ability to gather and to remember information and facts about many things. He had a wealth of knowledge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Godfrey and nephew, Eric Crowley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Lujuanna G. Pagan and husband, Bobby of Wendell, NC and three nieces, Sandra Ramseur of Winston-Salem, Alicia Anderson of Princeton, NC, and Misty Helms of Charlotte.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery.
