Pheriba Queen

Pheriba Porter Queen, age 60, of Forest City, NC, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her residence.
Pheriba was born on March 9, 1950 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Lloyd Porter and Betty Nix Porter. She worked in textiles and for fast food processors as a packer. She loved her cats and enjoyed playing bingo. She was a Baptist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Lloyd LaDon 'Donnie' Queen; one brother, Don Porter and grandson, Jacob Tipton.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelina Queen Humphries and fianc', Gary Lee Carson, of Caroleen; one son, Gary Dale Queen of Sandy Mush; one brother, Marty Ray Porter also of Sandy Mush; two aunts, Jerri Bailey and Jean Morrow both of Forest City and a longtime friend, Gary 'Harley' Short of Forest City. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
