Patricia Ann Stanley, age 76, of Mooresboro, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, has passed on to Heaven at her home.
She created beauty every day of her life in North Carolina where Dave, an industrial accountant for the Shelby PPG plant, was transferred to from West Virginia. She and Dave began Glassical Heirlooms in 1985, by doing local craft shows in western North Carolina selling her handmade stained-glass designs, especially angels in glass. She was an instant success and moved up to juried shows where she also did well. Biltmore House Gift Shop bought her glass pieces in alphabet letters for her first commercial account. She then did the wholesale show at the Atlanta Gift Mart as a temporary exhibitor with an expanded glass gift line in 1990 and did very well. She was encouraged by other exhibitors and showroom owners who came down from the Gift Mart showroom floors, (Floors 3-18), to lease her own showroom. Pat and Dave decided to take the plunge and leased a showroom on Floor 13 of the Atlanta Gift Mart in 1991 and never looked back. She actually created a new gift listing in the Mart directory, Angels. She was known as the “Angel Lady” in the Mart and angels became the focus of our showroom. We traveled 130 days a year for 15 years to different Gift Marts across the USA before closing our wholesale business in 2014. She had designed floral stained-glass pieces to hold pressed funeral flowers and sold custom pieces at our plant from 1995 and then from our home beginning in 2014. These custom pieces have brought God’s comfort and love to many people in the county during their hardest times, the passing on of a loved one.
We Praise God for all that He enabled Pat to accomplish in the glass gift business and the floral funeral pieces. God loves Pat and took her to her Heavenly Home after a very long and painful illness of back pain related to childhood scoliosis.
She is survived by her husband Dave; her children Robert, Bobbie and Israel; her grandchildren Mary Beth and Idrus; her delights, Elizabeth and Harmony; her great-granddaughters who called Pat “Gigi”; and her best friend and her soul’s sister, Jackie.
According to her wishes, there was no viewing or funeral. Arrangements were handled by Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services and the family thanks them for their excellent care of our beloved Patty.
