Pat Conner

Pat Conner, age 84, of Mooresboro, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Pat was born Friday January 24, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late Max Melvin Greene and Minnie Bell Shepard Greene. She worked in textiles most of her life having worked for Fiber Industries and Cone Mill-Cliffside Plant. Pat was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Ellenboro and enjoyed attending Gospel Singings. She loved going on shopping trips to other places and especially valued her time spent with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Zeb Conner; daughter, Susan Elaine Humphries; brothers, Roy Greene, Robert Greene, Jesse Greene, Jerry Greene and James Greene and sisters, Mary Mathis and Ellen Irvin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Donna Cantrell of Ellenboro and Kimberly Henson of Mooresboro; brothers, Clyde Greene (Faye) and Larry Greene (Brenda) all of Mooresboro; sisters, Hattie Banning of Rutherfordton and Shirley Humphries (Jerry) of Shelby; four grandsons, Heath Ledford of Ellenboro, Kent Ledford of Ellenboro, Britt Holland of Forest City and Brandon Holland of Mooresboro; six great-grandchildren, Kelsey Ledford, Sidney Arrowood, Kaylie Holland, Karlie Holland, Gavin Sawa and Alleigh Holland and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life to honor Pat’s life will be held on a later date.
