Norma Melton

Norma Kay Camp Melton, age 78, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Norma was born on Wednesday, March 8, 1946 in Rutherford County, to the late Raleigh Camp and Nellie Hawkins Camp. She worked for Western Auto and as a cashier for Walmart for many years. Norma enjoyed flower gardening, but her life’s passion was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Jimmy Melton.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Norma Gail Melton, and Sandra Lynn Melton (Arlene), all of Ellenboro; son, Jeffrey Darrell Melton (Pam), of DeBary, FL; and grandchildren, Ashley Blackwell of Charlotte, Bryson Parris (Destiny) of Shelby and her beloved pet dog, Lulu.

At her request, no formal service will be held at this time.
