Nathaniel "Nate" Sizemore

September 13, 1990 — October 9, 2025

Forest City

Nathaniel “Nate” Sizemore passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Nate’s greatest pride and joy was his son, Caleb, whose love and laughter brought color and purpose to his life. Over the years, they shared memories filled with laughter and connection, and in his final months, they treasured precious, unhurried moments together—time marked by tenderness and a love that words cannot fully capture.

Greg and Kaitlyn remained by Nate’s side to honor his final wishes, a testament to their lifelong bond as siblings—the Three Musketeers who survived childhood together.

He will be deeply missed by his brother, Greg Sizemore (Ericka), and his sisters, Kaitlyn Davis (Justin), Courtney Sizemore (Jake), Carissa Sizemore (Joe), and Brianna Morgan (Jake). He also leaves behind his beloved nephews, Malaki and Nikolai Sizemore, and nieces, Isla Sizemore, Kinsley Davis, and Khloe Davis.

He is survived by his devoted stepfather, Gordon Morgan (Haley), whom he lovingly regarded as his dad. Gordon stepped into their lives with love and strength, becoming a true father in every way. He faithfully stood by Nate with quiet devotion and steady care, especially in his final days. Nate is also survived by his caring stepmother, Betsy Sizemore; his loving grandmother, Wanda Taylor; and his dear friend Sheila Evans, who loved and cared for Nate like a mother over the past several years.

Known for his charm and quick wit, Nate could light up any room. He was often the class clown and the jokester among friends and family. He had a kind heart, an infectious laugh, and a deep love for animals—especially his dog, Snowflake.

Nate was preceded in death by his father, Pete Sizemore; his grandfather, Grover Taylor; and his nephew, Mason Sizemore.

Nate’s loved ones take comfort in knowing his final wishes were honored exactly as he wanted—made possible through the steadfast love and advocacy of Justin Davis and Sheila Evans. The family would like to extend deep gratitude to the compassionate teams at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and Atrium Health Cleveland for the peace and comfort they provided during his final days.

Nate’s memory will live on through his son, his family, and all who were blessed to know and love him. He has now found the peace and healing he long deserved—forever loved, and finally at rest in God’s arms.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 1st at Gray’s Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
