Nancy M. Tate

Nancy M. Tate, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at her residence.

Nancy was born Sunday, March 26, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Clarence and Gertrude Tate. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1968 and held an earned bachelor’s degree from Pfeiffer University. Nancy’s life was all about helping people. She was a long-time member of Providence Methodist Church where she served as choir director and on the cemetery committee. She had a heart for the elderly and invested herself in being a blessing to others from hospital visits to senior trips. Nancy authored two books and was an avid student of the Bible. She loved any type of outdoor activity. Nancy worked for many years at various local textile mills.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister; Sara Lee Camp and her husband, Wayne and a beloved niece, Candy McDaniel (Stephen) all of Rutherfordton.

In honor of Nancy’s wishes there will be no formal services conducted. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Providence Methodist Church cemetery.
