Michael Waters

Michael Waters, age 36, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Michael was born Friday, January 12, 1989 in Rutherford County to Wade and Luci Waters who reside in Spindale. Michael worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Shelby for several years. He was an avid gamer and loved reading. Michael enjoyed anything to do with technology and aspired to be an author. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his straightforward and honest conversations. Michael will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, William Orion Waters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Samantha Waters; son, Nathan Waters; daughter, Natalie Waters; sister, Savanna Randall (Wayne) of Spindale; brothers, Wade Waters of Spindale and Jordan Waters (Aden) of Forest City; nieces, Cameron Randall, Madison Randall, Evie Waters and a host of extended family members.

A family led memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 12th at the First Baptist Church of Bostic with Reverend Clay Earle officiating.
