Marty Lane

Marty Dale Lane, age 58, of Henrietta, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at his residence.

Marty was born August 3, 1961 in Rutherford County to Whitey Lane of Forest City and the late Glenda Lane. He worked in textiles for several years and was a self-employed “handy man.” He attended Goodes Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and gardening.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Hardin.

Besides his father, those left to cherish his memory include his life companion, Janet Lancaster; two daughters, Brittney Lane of Kinston, NC and Tiffany Oxendine (Matthew) of Magnolia, NC; son, Jesse Lancaster; step-mother, Brenda Lane of Forest City; two sisters, Crissann Dills (Phillip) of Mill Spring and Lisa Coffey (Ted) of Bostic; two brothers, Derrick Lane (Myra) of Lenoir, NC and Scott Lane (Tonya) of Bostic.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Avondale Cemetery with Reverend Robbie Hensley officiating.
