Mark Dean Cash

Mark Dean Cash, age 62, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Mark was born on Thursday, June 13, 1963 in Spartanburg County to Joyce Dickson Cash and the late Bobby Dean Cash. He was a graduate of Broome High School, class of 1981. Mark was a longtime member of Converse Baptist Church where he served for a number of years as a deacon and the treasurer. He retired from Spartanburg County after working for twenty-seven years as an I.T. manager. Mark loved watching NASCAR racing, spending time working on the farm, and listening to Southern Gospel Music, specifically “His Boys” The Pine Ridge Boys.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his siblings, Robin Medlock, Linda Kirby (Steve), and Jamie Cash (Stacey); special friends and “adopted siblings”, Larry and Anne Stewart; nieces and nephews, Amy Dalton (Kevin), Scott Medlock, Sarah Burnett (Dylan), Rachel Poston (Jon), and Max Cash; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Converse Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Davis officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Mark’s urn will be placed on the family farm at a later time.
