Marion Hutchins

Marion Hutchins, age 81, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her daughter’s residence.

Marion was born Sunday, March 2, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late C.M. Holland and Anniece Stanfield Holland. She worked for National Textiles in Forest City for many years and was a longtime member of Alexander United Methodist Church. Marion was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking for her family. The family always enjoyed her legendary homemade biscuits. Marion had a tender heart toward the sick and did her best to provide for the less fortunate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Franklin “David” Hutchins; six brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish fond memories are her daughter, Shannon Patrick (Dennis) and son, Frank Hutchins all of Forest City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dr. John Powell and Reverend Robert Mauney officiating. Interment will follow at the Alexander Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
