Louise Boydston

Louise C. Boydston, age 89, of Mooresboro, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at her residence.
Born September 3, 1928 in McDowell County, she was a daughter to the late Julius Cannon and Sally Young Cannon. Louise was a nurturing and quiet spirited lady who was a true disciple of Christ. She lived out her faith by becoming a foster mother to thirty-three children in a span of twenty-years. She was devoted to her Savior, to her family and to her church. Louise was a past member of the Providence United Methodist Church of Marion and attended Liberty Baptist Church. She was a well-read woman of amazing depth with a propensity to see the needs of others through the eyes of God. Louise was also a gifted artist and an accomplished organist and shared her talents with many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude C. Boydston and one son, David E. Boydston.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, William A. Boydston of Mooresboro and a daughter, Cynthia Boydston of Bolivia, NC.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Marion with Reverend Owen Duncan officiating.
