Louis Burns

Louis Ray Burns, age 76, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born November 16, 1937 in Colbert County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Louis McKinley Burns and Vera Pauline Phillips Burns. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Earl Reece Burns and sister, Alma Jean Maxwell.
Survivors include son, Ray Burns of Nashville, TN; four daughters, Jo Williams and husband, Terry of Forest City, Fonda Jameson and husband, Patrick of Hilmar, CA, Cheryl Burkhart and husband, John and Renee Harlan and husband, Eric all of Joplin, Missouri; brother, David Burns of Maud, AL and sister-in-law, Lana Burns of Cherokee, AL. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Maud Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Maud Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
