Lottie Faye Moody

Lottie Faye Moody, age 73, of Valdese, passed away at UNC Health Blue Ridge - Valdese, on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Lottie was born on Wednesday, June 20, 1951, in Rutherford County, to the late Frank Kozik and Ruby Adams Kozik. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. Lottie was a hard worker who loved her family dearly, she will be remembered by her family as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and going out to eat. Lottie was retired from Henderson Care. Lottie’s strength of character will not be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, Marty Moody; daughter, Amy Hopler; and sister, Carol Crankshaw.

Survivors are her fiancé, Michael Barnes, of Valdese; son, Jeff Moody (Amber), of York, SC; sister, Marjorie Paratore (Ben), of Valdosta, GA; seven grandchildren, Ruby Moody, Opal Moody, Jamie Horton, Alex Blackwell, Christopher Causby, Christian Moody, and William Moody. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21st at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
