Linda Hopper Harris

Linda Hopper Harris, age 78, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

Linda was born Saturday, November 30, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Claude Hopper and Dessie Elms Hopper. She faithfully worked at Mastercraft for many years before her retirement. Linda was an avid reader and was an animal lover. She enjoyed shopping for good deals at yard sales and department stores. Linda was known for her ability to make friends with everyone she met and all who knew her enjoyed her keen sense of humor. Her gift to her family was her excellent cooking which was enjoyed by all. From her famous spaghetti to her delicious “no bake” cookies, she loved making every meal special. Linda was a longtime member of Harris First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Dan “Boweevil” Harris, Sr.; infant twin daughters, Tina and Tracy Harris; sisters, Judy Day and Faye Greene; brothers, Warren Hopper, Ricky Hopper and Eddie Hopper.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Dan Harris, Jr. (Lori) of Ellenboro and David Harris (Melanie) of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Alex Harris, Lauren Harris, Adam Harris (Harley) and Taylor Harris; great grandchildren, Cora Harris, Kenna Harris and Darcy Harris.

A private graveside service will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
