Kevin Lane

Kevin Lane, age 57, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026 at his home.

Kevin was born Wednesday, December 4, 1968 in Rutherford County to the late Junior Lane and Vivian Lee Merchant Lane. He was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1987. Kevin served as a paramedic for over thirty years for Rutherford and Polk Counties. He also was a member of the Life Saving and Rescue Squad. He was a beloved member of Crestview Baptist Church. Kevin enjoyed cooking. He could cook just about everything; his specialty was making desserts. He was an avid Marvel, DC Comic, Star Trek and Star Wars fan. He aspired to be like his favorite Superhero. Kevin had the heart of a caregiver and was one of the most unselfish people you could ever know. He truly lived for others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shawn Lane.

Those left to honor his legacy include his wife, Shelly Conner Lane; daughter, Taylor Berryhill (Dillon) of Bostic; son, Cameron Lane (Catherine) of Casar; stepsons, Chris Laughter of Caroleen and Joshua Head of Ruth; stepdaughters, Charity Head of Washington State and Allyssa Mosier of Caroleen; sister, Tracy Talbert (Mike0 of Lawndale and eight grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held in Kevin’s honor on a date to be announced.
