John Roach

John Herman Roach, Jr., age 72, of Forest City, NC, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Rutherford Hospital.
John was born on September 26, 1938 in Rutherford County, NC to the late John Herman Roach, Sr. and Lois Horne Roach. He was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as a Senior Lab Technician for PPG Industries for over 40 years before retiring. He was a member of Avondale Methodist Church and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He loved the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teresa Ann Roach.
Survivors include his fianc', Sandra Arrowood, of Forest City; one son, John David Roach and wife, Marie, also of Forest City; one daughter, Patricia Ann McFarland and husband, Patrick, of Asheville, NC; one brother, Steve Roach and wife, Candy, of Florence, SC; one sister, Irene Delpino of Henrietta; nine grandchildren, Chris Ramsey, Ashley Ramsey, Susan Arrowood, Brian Arrowood, Tori Roach, Taylan Roach, Becky Arrowood, Nicholas Arrowood and Marrisa Arrowood; one step-son, Tracy Arrowood of Henrietta; six great grandchildren and two nephews, Mike Roach and Matt Roach.
