John Pruett

John H. Pruett, age 67, of East Main Street, Forest City, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born on Wednesday, January 5, 1949 in Cleveland County, he was a son to the late David Harrison Pruett and Obie Hoyle Pruett. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked in textiles for several years and for Butler Auto Parts. He also was an apartment and property manager. John enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Pruett and sister, Elizabeth Owens.
Survivors include one son, John Michael Pruett; two brothers, Tommy Pruett and Ricky Lee Pruett both of Shelby; two sisters, Mildred Moore also of Shelby and a host of family and friends
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
