Jimmy Keeter

Jimmy Keeter, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at his home.

Jimmy was known as a man of many talents and a “jack of all trades.”

Jimmy was born Friday, December 17, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Keeter and Eloise Walker Keeter. He was a graduate of Chase High School and earned an associate’s degree from Isothermal Community College. Jimmy owned and operated Keeter Kustoms where he offered auto painting, body repair plus custom grading. He later worked for BMW in the logistics department before retirement. He was a gifted auctioneer which led him to using his talents on three separate occasions in Saudi Arabia. Jimmy was known as a man of many talents and a “jack of all trades.” He could do just about anything. Jimmy was a longtime member of Providence Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Simmons; grandson, Terry Edwards and a great grandchild, Zola Hardin.

Those left to honor his legacy include his loving wife of forty-eight years, Judy Keeter; sons, Chad Keeter of Rutherford County, Rick Edwards of Rutherfordton; daughter, Robin Hardin (Scottie) of Forest City; sisters, Nancy Munn of Forest City, Debra Altman (Steve) and Dena Hardin all of Lake City, SC; a longtime family friend, Rhonda Simmons of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Rachelle Swink (Steven), Justin Queen, Kourtney Kahn, Chandler Keeter, Taylor Hardin (Lauren), Timothy Hardin (Bailey) and Nicole Hardin; great grandchildren, Madison Fisher (Ashton), McKinleigh Hardin, Hendrix Hardin, Madelynn Hardin and Hadleigh Hardin.

A gathering of family and friends in celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 5th at Harrelson Funeral Home.
