Jessie “Jay” Evans II, age 40, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at his residence.
Jessie was born December 10, 1979 in Bluefield, West Virginia to Jesse Matthew Evans, Sr. who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Brenda Simpkins Evans. He worked for Meritor Industries for several years. Jay enjoyed video games, rock music, yardwork and was an avid wrestling fan. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirteen years, Michelle Evans; daughter, Shani McKillop; sister, Crystal Wilson (Robert) of Forest City; three brothers, Phillip Evans, Joshua Evans and Jimmy Evans all of Forest City. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, Matthew Hopkins, Tyler Craig, Tiffany Swink, Misty Swink, Jeffery Swink, Jr. and Lillian Wilson.
A private gathering of family and friends to honor Jay’s life will be held. Please contact the family for further information.
