Jean Nix Morrow

Jean Nix Morrow, age 85, of Forest City, NC passed away peacefully on May 15th, 2026 to be with our Lord and Savior, and to join her family and friends that preceded her in death.

Born April 23rd, 1941, in Rutherford County, she was the youngest of three children born to Fred and Nora Nix. She retired from Tanner Co. after 20 years of service there. Prior to that, she worked at Crellin Plastic and the Hanes Plant. She was very devoted to her family, being a caregiver to her mother and father, her two sisters before their passing, and a niece and nephew. She was a member of Bethany Church for thirty-eight years and she loved her Adult Ladies #1 Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling for many years and enjoyed reading and walking for exercise. Jean enjoyed her two cats and her dog, (Precious-her baby).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Nora Nix; and two sisters, Betty Porter and Jerri Bailey.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Morrow; nephews, Marshall Turner and Marty Porter; niece, Keisha Swink; and stepchildren, Tim Morrow, Vicki Morrow and Laurel Morrow.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 am in the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lane Goff officiating.
