Howard Brown

Howard "Charlie" Nathaniel Brown, age 65, of Summerville, SC, husband of Ruth Elizabeth Brown, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Hospice Center of Charleston.

Mr. Brown was born January 6, 1942, in Ft. Mill, SC son of the late Rev. Waymon Ray Brown and Mary Louise Francis Brown. Mr. Brown grew up in Rutherford County, graduating from Chase High School in 1960. He was retired from the United States Air Force and from Civil Service.

Survivors including his wife Ruth, are one daughter, Donna Kroese and husband Dwayne of Lebanon, OR; and one son, Jim Brown and wife Robbie of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren, Robert Durkee, Danielle Brown, Jacob Brown, Andrea Kroese, and Marissa Kroese; three great grandchildren, Dustin Durkee, Bodie Durkee, and Yianna Durkee. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Daphne Baker; nephew, Ben Charpia, III, a brother; Robert Brown and two sisters, Helen Brown and Mr. Brown's twin sister Hilda Brown Whitlock.
