Harry Kemper, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Harry was born Sunday, February 20, 1949 in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Edward Kemper and Ruby Messenger Kemper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served honorably in the Vietnam War. Harry worked as a bucket operator for Asplundh Tree Service for over twenty years. He enjoyed cutting grass, riding motorcycles and driving his tractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Kemper and a niece, Megan Kemper.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Amy Kemper of Spindale; son, James Kemper (Kimberly) of Forest City; brothers, Bryan Kemper and Charlie Kemper; sisters, Jodie Kemper, Kathy Blouse and Cindy Kemper; grandchildren, Kayla Bradley, Brayden Kemper, Lacie Kemper and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 24th at Harrelson Funeral Home. A brief service will follow at 6:30 pm with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard in the funeral home chapel.

The family requests that no flowers be sent and that donations be made in Harry’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
