Gertrude Adams

Gertrude F. Adams, age 88, of Cowpens, SC, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her residence.
Gertrude was born August 27, 1923 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Richard Frazier and Emma Lowery Frazier. She graduated from Tri-High School, class of 1942 and a member of Sandy Mush Baptist. She worked in the textile industry and enjoyed doing handcrafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Adams; one brother, R.P. Frazier and a great grandson Bradley James Tavernia.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine A. Lawing and husband, Johnny R. and June A. Hawkins of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, Robert P. Milam, Shasta N. Tavernia and Shannon James; five great grandchildren, Shawn M. Tavernia, Elizabeth Tavernia, Draydon James, Christian Tyler Milam and Genesis James.
