Gay Blankenship

Gay Blankenship, age 72, of Henrietta, NC, died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Rutherford Hospital.
Gay was born on May 10, 1938 to the late Dug Blankenship and Myrtle Wallace Blankenship. He was the operator/owner of Gay's Used Tire Service for over 50 years and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed repairing and restoring old trucks and was a hard worker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Chloe Holcombe and Geraldine Blankenship and one brother, Ray Blankenship.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joann Jones Blankenship; four daughters, Angela Cash and husband, Ernest, of Henrietta, Lisa Oliver and husband, Tony, of Union Mills, Tracy Roper and husband, Terry, of Gilkey and Kathy Leach and fianc', Warren Faucett of Traveler's Rest, SC; two sisters, Helen Austin of Burnsville, NC and Irene Austin of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
