Obituary

Frank Turner, age 88, of Forest City, went to his heavenly reward on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his home.

Frank was born Sunday, July 3, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Darvin Turner and Estelle Sisk Turner. He worked in home construction as a master carpenter and brick mason most of his life. Frank was a longtime and faithful member of Harriett Free Will Baptist Church where he served as the Chairman of the Deacons and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Frank played a vital role in the building of the present day church building. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and hunting for golf balls in his spare time. He will be forever remembered as a good man who was a dedicated husband, father, brother, pawpaw, friend and above all a true Christian.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, David Turner, Margaret Head, Herman Turner, Bill Turner, Donald Turner and Deborah Coffey.

Those left to honor his legacy include his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Helen Ramsey Turner; daughter, Susan Hudson (Ronnie) of Connelly Springs, NC; sons, Jamie Turner (RaeAnn) and Jason Turner all of Forest City; brothers, Brannon Turner (Etta Mae) of Forest City and Broadus Turner (Alleen) of Ellenboro; sisters, Patsy Edwards of Shelby, Christine Hodge of Alexander and Myra Conner of Forest City; grandchildren, Brittany Hudson, Schyler Hudson, Jay Turner (Kaylen), Tabitha Turner, Avry Turner, Macie Turner; great -grandchildren, Zaylee, Baylee, Ezrah, Zayne, Liam and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5th at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Poe Jones and Reverend Mike Cash officiating. Interment will follow at the Providence Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
