Firleen Davis Holt

Firleen Davis Holt, age 97, of Ellenboro, passed away, Monday, December 26, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Firleen was born in Cherokee County, SC on Friday, December 25, 1925 to the late Romeo Davis and Lettie Owens Davis. She worked in textiles for many years and was a member of Campfield Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Peter Holt; daughter, Patena Penson; brothers, Blaine Davis, Finnie Davis, Winfred Davis, Sr and two sisters, Buena McCraw and Inez Davis.

Survivors include her sons, Clarence Bedford Holt of Spindale and Barry Holt (Diane) of Ellenboro and three grandchildren, Tyler Holt, Casey Holt and Candace Hall (Brandon).

A private funeral service will be held for the family with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation.
